Paper Tile began as a material exploration that grew out of our witnessing the amount of paper waste from local industries. After an array of experiments, paper tiles emerged as a successful product made from recycled paper. The tiles are as hard as boards, light as cork, and can be printed or painted like paper. Other than their decorative potential, they have great sound absorbing qualities and are easy to install. We continue to use 100% post-consumer paper collected from local businesses.

The tiles are currently offered in a 9″ hexagons, 8.25″ Squares, and 7.5″ x 3.25″ Subtiles. Other shapes, thicknesses and sizes will soon be available and can currently be custom ordered. Our large library of patterns and colours allow for unlimited combinations to be made.
Tiles are available in a gradation of colours from natural browns to bleached whites and have endless printing options. Wallpapering changes as you add to them—they can be an effective accent with just a few tiles or an impacting, sound absorbent, treatment across an entire wall. Custom colours, thicknesses and shapes are all possibilities for your project.
Acoustic testing has shown PAPER TILES to perform equal to some acoustic foams on the market. Adding in textured tiles further reduces sound reflection through wave dispersion. The tiles dampen noise while also acting as insulators and contribute to restful acoustics in residential and commercial spaces such as restaurants and office spaces.
We offer small precomposed compositions in the shop.
